Super Bowl Trash!

By |

We have a tradition of having Super Bowl parties. The whole thing is really funny, as my husband and I are really not big football fans. Actually, I’m the opposite of a football fan. I don’t get the sport. I don’t really enjoy watching it. I think it’s kinda barbaric really. Just a bunch of guys crashing into each other, getting injured and getting concussions. Then they retire and they have brain damage and lifelong joint problems. Maybe it’s worth it because they make millions???? Can’t really think of any other reason. Like I said, I just don’t get it. But we have a party every year to celebrate the big game. Pretty funny when I think about it.

What I like about the Super Bowl is having people over to our house to eat, drink and be merry. When you’re a personal trainer you have to really put some thought into entertaining. I mean, we can’t have a bunch of people over to watch football and serve a bunch of veggies and protein shakes, right. So, yesterday was definitely a cheat day for me. Bigtime. But, hey, sometimes a girl just needs some brownie batter, right?! Yes, brownie batter. Never mind the brownies. The batter is waaaay better!

But today was back to reality. Back on the wagon. Got in a great workout to ease my Super Bowl guilt. Then cleaned out the kitchen. You can see me trashing the Super Bowl leftovers above. It’s one thing to have a cheat meal, or even a cheat day. But you CANNOT leave the leftovers lying around! So, the junk went in the trash before I could think about it.

That leads me to your homework for today. Head to your kitchen RIGHT NOW and throw away a few items you know you should not have. Erase the possibility of temptation! When I stood looking at my brownies this morning, I knew the momentary yumminess they would bring was not worth regret I would have if I continued to pick at them all week. So into the trash they went.

What’s going in your trash today? Share below!

Awesome video! Nothings wrong with a little indulgence, but you absolutely cannot indulge everyday. I have zero self discipline so the trash is a great idea. Just get rid of it and everybody wins.
